Director of Golf

NOTICE: THIS POSITION HAS BEEN FILLED

Our client is a sports analytics company that uses computer vision and machine learning to help all athletes maximize their performance.  Our proprietary technology applications range from helping PGA Tour golfers optimize their launch conditions to allowing MLB pitchers to increase the efficiency on their breaking balls.  Current partners include all 30 MLB teams, USA Baseball, SkyGolf, Mizuno, Golf Digest, AJGA, and 75% of NCAA baseball programs. 


We are looking for an individual to manage and grow our golf business.  This is a senior management position (reports directly to the General Manager, North America) with one of the fastest growing sports-tech companies in the US.  Compensation package includes healthcare and 401k plus a flexible work environment that embraces active lifestyles.  


This position is located in St. Louis, MO - this is NOT a remote position.  Relocation is available for the qualified candidate.


Key Responsibilities

The ideal candidate must be able to:

  • Manage the sales, marketing, and product activities for all golf-related products and services.
  • Direct and drive subscription revenue as well as all sales activities including pricing and programs for all distribution outlets including golf retailers, pro shops, online retailers, international distributors, Amazon, and the company e-commerce platform.
  • Work with the Marketing Director to manage all golf-related marketing activities including events, digital programs, SEO, social media, affiliates, and other advertising/promo opportunities.
  • Manage and grow all golf partnerships including Golf Digest/Discovery Golf, AJGA, NextGen Golf, and multiple PGA sections.
  • Manage all product management/development activities including product definitions, testing, refinement, and introduction.  
  • Manage the company Golf Sales, Ops, and Product staff while working collaboratively with the Marketing and Engineering/R&D departments.


Requirements:

  • At least 10 years of consumer products experience with minimum 5 years as lead manager in a sales or product role.
  • More than 5 years of golf industry experience including working directly with specialty retailers, pro shops, online, and international distributors.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with app-focused, SaaS-driven products and services.
  • Self–motivated leader who thrives in a startup/small business environment.
  • Multi-tasker who is used to developing strategy and implementing projects.

Operations Manager - US

Our Client is looking for a passionate, professional leader to take full responsibility for its subsidiary in the United States.  A challenge-filled position, this opportunity will take you through operations, change and employee management, within organizational growth.  Gain high-level operations management experience, through a well-rounded endeavor.

The Operations Manager will report to the President, who is based at the parent company located in Canada. This position is remote, but primary locations for this person will focus on the following cities:

Pioneer Valley (MA), Raleigh (NC), Richmond, Columbia (SC), Howard County (MD), Summit County (UT), Vail (CO), Riverside (CA))


The primary function is to ensure sound management of all US operations by heading the subsidiary and ensuring that organizational goals are reached through employee mobilization, motivation and accountability.


Salary of $65-$75K with bonus opportunities.
