Role Description

Our growing business is looking for an experienced digital marketing / e-commerce manager with a

strong interest (passion) for the aquatic / swim industry.  This role will lead our digital marketing team

along with a primary focus on enhancing the customer experience through our multiple e-commerce

sites. Combining technical / digital expertise with a deep understanding of our customers and products –

is critical in this role.


 Responsibilities

  • Manage & drive day to day digital initiatives, workflow, e-commerce performance
  • Enhance the customer experience (home page thru check out process) across our various sites
  • Manage digital marketing team and work closely on execution with our sales organization
  • Setup custom team (micro site) stores and related product assortments
  • Maintain accurate online product assortments, content, pricing, information
  • Report, track, and analyze online site performance and digital initiative metrics
  • Optimize online processes, tools, performance

Role Description

Responsible for purchasing, inventory planning / receiving process and analysis across multiple product

categories working with third-party suppliers both foreign and domestic.  Manage “open to buy” process

aligned with business targets.  Review, analyze and improve supplier performance impacting purchasing

discounts, payment terms, accuracy and quality of materials ordered.


 Responsibilities

  • Manage inventory planning and buying aligned with budgets (open to buy process)

With growth of almost 200% over the past two years, the company has carved out a niche in the basketball landscape.  To continue fueling that growth, we’re looking to add an aggressive, digitally savvy marketer who can help amplify the voice of our brand as we extend our reach to the broader basketball community.  


The Digital Marketing Specialist will work on many aspects of the business, with a primary focus on managing e-commerce and customer acquisition.  They will report directly to the CMO & CEO and be responsible for expanding, engaging, and converting a community united through a shared love of the game.  

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Daily management of online store(s), including general site management (via Shopify and other platforms) and maintaining/optimizing home page, product pages and marketing programs designed to drive conversion and revenue growth.
  • Management of e-mail marketing programs (via Mailchimp), including campaign planning, execution, and reporting, subscriber growth and engagement.
  • Manage organic and paid social media channels and campaigns, including day-to-day interaction with third party customer acquisition agency.
  • E-commerce and social media channel performance reporting and data analysis for CMO/CEO with recommendations designed to drive online conversion and revenue growth.
  • Proactively engage with the universe of customers both online and through traditional channels, including customer service and social media chat functions
  • Identify and manage growing list of social media influencers and online partners who can help spread the company brand message.
  • Work with CMO & CEO to help identify, select and manage third party agencies to drive e-commerce revenue (e.g. Email marketing, Site design, Amazon, etc.)
  • Work with Director of Operations to provide online customers with best-in-class customer service.
  • Work with the CMO/brand marketing team to manage seasonal marketing/promotional calendars, including the creation and distribution of highly engaging content that aligns with the brand and is of interest to our core consumer target.


REQUIREMENTS:

  • 2-5 years of digital marketing experience, preferably in the sporting goods and/or sports apparel industries.
  • Demonstrated digital marketing acumen with an ability to connect content with measurable business impact.  Relevant experience required with Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube.
  • Experience with Google Analytics required; knowledge and experience with social media monitoring solutions preferred.
  • Prior experience with e-commerce software solutions such as Shopify and Mailchimp preferred.
  • Highly organized and detail oriented, with an ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
  • Excellent written and visual communication skills in a tone aimed at our target consumer, the hardcore basketball consumer.
  • The passion to engage with the basketball community and share the company brand story. 
  • Understanding of marketing analytics and willingness to utilize data to drive decision making. 
  • Digital video and photo editing skills preferred, as well as basic proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, Powerpoint).

National Sales Manager - Basketball Team Apparel

The National Sales Manager (aka our Power Forward) has to put up 20/10 every night if we want a chance to win.  They will be primarily responsible for 1) team uniform sales and customer service, including management of our existing team sales staff and building out a national sales rep force, and; 2) key account management of larger customers and partnerships, including oversight of our roster of NBA team clients. 


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • New business development for the company's team uniform program, selling branded team uniforms to basketball organizations nationwide. (e.g. AAU/travel clubs, schools, facilities, rec leagues, etc.)  Includes all aspects of the sales cycle from prospecting and lead generation, sales funnel/relationship management to deal closing, order fulfillment and customer service.
  • Management of inside and outside sales representatives using CRM software tools, ensuring they meet and exceed established individual and departmental goals.
  • Recruit, train and supervise new company sales reps focused on both inside and outside sales. 
  • Work with the Operations team to provide industry-leading customer service to our existing roster of team uniform customers, including order fulfillment, account management and up-sell/renewal opportunities.
  • Work with Marketing team to help plan, develop, and execute marketing programs in support of team uniform sales goals, including Spring/Summer grassroots pop-up sales and marketing activation. 
  • Management oversight and business development of key accounts, including partnerships grassroots event operators, targeted wholesale accounts, international distributors and NBA team partners. 


REQUIREMENTS:

  • LOVE BASKETBALL – you’ll be around the game 24/7 working with coaches, trainers, parents and players.  It’s OK if the shine on your jumper has faded a bit, but you need to have an understanding of the game and what motivates ballplayers and coaches on & off the court.
  • Minimum 3-5 years experience in a sales focused role with management oversight and responsibilities required.
  • Experience with team uniform and/or apparel sales preferred.
  • Detail-oriented, dedicated to persistent follow-through and comfortable with budget management principles.
  • Experience working in an office setting where you are responsible for managing your own time, maintaining business correspondence and meeting deadlines.
  • Must have a working knowledge of basic computer operations – email, Excel, social media, etc.  Comfort level working with new software applications preferred.
  • Willing to travel on occasion (1-3x per month typically during March-July) as part of your job responsibilities.
  • Ideal candidate will have a strong network of coaches, programs, and facilities within the youth basketball space.

Finance and Inventory Manager

The Finance and Inventory Manager will be chiefly responsible for all financial reconciliation and oversight of the systems that manage the company’s inventory.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Monthly bank and financial reconciliation using Quickbooks Online.
  • Direct responsibility for and daily oversight of inventory management software (Cin7) and all integrations including e-commerce (Shopify, Amazon), team uniform sales and Quickbooks.
  • Creating and sending purchase orders to vendors.
  • Management of accounts receivable/collections and accounts payable/bill pay.
  • Work with Director of Operations to ensure inventory accuracy by reconciling periodic cycle counts with virtual inventory.
  • Work with Product Development team to create reports used for inventory forecasting and seasonal sales planning.
  • Management of the company's credit facility with financing partners.
  • Quarterly analysis of actuals versus pro forma projections.
  • Initiate and run quarterly commission for sales reps and marketing partners.
  • Serving as primary contact to answer internal questions, troubleshoot systems integration issues (e.g. between Quickbooks and Cin7) and work with technical support to find solutions.
  • Prepare year-end financials and related scheduled for outside CPAs to complete annual tax returns


REQUIREMENTS:

  • 3-5 years in an accounting and/or finance focused position, ideally with experience in apparel and/or consumer products. 
  • Prior experience with inventory management strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Quickbooks required, proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Excel).
  • Systems experience (e.g. inventory management, e-commerce) strongly preferred.
  • Highly organized, disciplined and detail oriented, with an ability to multi-task and prioritize work. Proven track record of superior time management skills to meet multiple deadlines.
  • Independent, self-starter with ability to quickly adapt to new situations.  Needs to be direct and work cooperatively with teammates.
