Accounting Manager

As Accounting Manager, you will be the financial point-person based in Atlanta, GA headquarters.  Your job scope will span every financial touch-point from working with our outside accounting and tax firms to developing internal reports to paying vendors.  You will work closely with other functional leaders in the organization to support their financial processes and reporting needs.  You will provide strategic financial advice to the President and all of his direct reports.  This role reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer, and is a full-time, exempt position. 


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee monthly close and prepare financial statements and analysis for the company, including necessary reports for parent companies in Japan and Korea.  Prepare necessary reports for consolidation accounting as required by global HQ.
  • Maintain all accounting procedures and processes. Follow and comply with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) for financial statements.
  • Perform day-to-day booking to maintain a smooth process of paying invoices and expenses and recording payments in Quickbooks. 
  • Participate in creating annual budgets with company leaders and understand the budget inputs.  Be able to provide in-depth budget analysis as requested by company leadership.
  • Oversee financial reports for parent company owners, taxes, regulatory agencies, and other financial groups relating to company finance.
  • Work with external audit accounting and tax providers to provide necessary information for their reports.
  • Forecast and plan according to fiscal needs.


WHO YOU ARE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business with an emphasis in Accounting, or a related field.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license preferred.
  • 3-5 years experience as an accountant, accounting supervisor, or manager.
  • Excellent computer skills; especially Excel.
  • Proficiency with accounting software and experience with a software system implementation a plus, preferably Quickbooks.
  • Exceptional knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).  Working knowledge of IFRS principles is preferable.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting best practices, laws, standards, and state/national regulations.
  • Pays strict attention to detail.

International Logistics Manager

Based in our North American Headquarters in Atlanta GA, the International Logistics Manager will be responsible

for the classification and management for all inventory.  Apparel and footwear incur among the highest duty charges of any items brought into the country.  This role will help to properly classify inbound products for duty clearance.  They will also make recommendations to the product team to create awareness for best types of materials and construction to use in maximizing cost efficiency in importing.   This person will also manage all transportation activity through the freight forwarder to ensure timely and accurate delivery of all the goods.  It is crucial that you embody the good judgment, competitive spirit, patience & empathy, work ethic, and professionalism that the brand represents.  You will work closely with other functional leaders in the organization to support their processes and business needs as the expert in your area. 


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work closely with product teams and make recommendations about materials and processes to ensure duty savings in production.
  • Track and adjust duty classifications as necessary to maximize cost efficiency.
  • Oversee and facilitate the company’s first sale process to maximize company savings.
  • Provide regular updates for cost saving initiatives to company’s management team.
  • Facilitate and streamline the shipping of products from origin to our warehouse in Lawrenceville, GA through our freight forwarder.
  • Manages activities throughout the order fulfillment and transportation cycle to make sure established deadlines are met.
  • Continuously reviews freight costs, transportation rates, and/or the prices of raw materials to keep costs down where possible.
  • Proactively address and resolve inventory discrepancies and loss prevention with our parent company and partnering factories.

Digital Marketing Manager

This Chicago based sports nutrition company has an open position for a Digital Marketing Manager to join a fast-paced and growing new start-up.   The company manufactures plant-based nutritional supplement for endurance athletes, and is backed by decades of experience and industry leadership.


The optimal candidate has a passion for endurance and performance sports, and a knowledge of sports nutrition.  This person will help  build the brand with enthusiasm and creativity.  The  primary focus will be on day-to-day digital marketing, digital customer experience, and eCommerce marketing.  Other responsibilities will include general marketing and varied start-up responsibilities.  The right candidate will be flexible and willing to take on new projects beyond a clearly defined role. 


This incredibly visible role reports directly to the Director of Marketing, with offices located in the Chicago Loop.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Digital Marketing & Digital Experience (75%):

  • Work with the Marketing Director to develop digital marketing, e-commerce, social media, and digital customer experience strategies.
  • Implement digital marketing, e-commerce, social media, and digital experience strategies and oversee day-to-day management of digital marketing and the digital customer experience.
  • Track, analyze and report the performance of digital marketing and e-commerce efforts and programs.
  • Create content (photography, graphics, and copywriting) for email marketing, social media, website, etc. 
  • Manage freelance graphic designers and copywriters.
  • Provide technical support for website and all aspects of digital marketing.
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies.


Other Marketing & Start-Up Responsibilities (25%):

  • Collaborate with Marketing Director and other company employees to strategize, execute, and report with regard to additional marketing projects, including:
    • Identifying and managing athlete/brand ambassadors, athlete sponsorships and team/sports partnerships
    • Print advertising
    • Retail marketing and relationships
    • Swag and branded merchandise
    • Packaging and non-digital customer experience
  • Support sport events with marketing and other efforts.
  • Support company’s athlete/brand ambassador program.
  • Attend a minimum of 3 sports events in coordination with the Marketing Event Manager.
  • Additional start-up responsibilities as necessary.


QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:

  • BA/BS required.
  • Existing passion for the sports nutrition/fitness/wellness category.
  • Minimum 5 years digital marketing experience is required, including: Email marketing, social media, paid social, SEO, SEM, PPC, mobile, etc.
  • eCommerce experience is required.
  • Shopify or equivalent e-commerce platform experience is required.
  • HubSpot or equivalent platform experience is required. 
  • WordPress or equivalent content management system experience is required. 
  • Google Analytics or equivalent web analytics platform experience is required.
  • Google Ads, Facebook & Instagram Ads experience is required.
  • Amazon Seller Central and Amazon Advertising experience is required.
  • Copywriting and graphic design experience (including with Adobe Creative Cloud apps, such as Photoshop and Illustrator) is required.
  • Experience working with and managing outside consultants, such as content creators, project managers, graphic designers, copywriters, and other cross-functional team members, is preferred.
  • Experience with HTML and other web-based programming languages is preferred.
  • Experience with eCommerce website redesign is a plus.
  • Prior experience with video is a plus.


REQUIRED Skills:

  • Willingness to take on projects and responsibilities that do not fit within a clearly defined role.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including analysis & interpretation of digital marketing data.
